What's included

2 live meetings
1 hrs 40 mins in-class hours per week
Homework
1 hour per week. I will give students extra practice to work on outside of class. It will not be required but it is strongly suggested as these students are trying to master these skills and that requires consistent practice. Typically, the worksheet we start in class will have about half of the problems left for them to take home and try on their own. Answer keys are always provided.

Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 6
📌 This class is a summer review and refresh of the major 5th grade concepts of multiplication, long multiplication, long division, decimals operations & fraction operations. For a link to my Full Curriculum year-long classes scroll down to the 🍂.

📓 Each class we will review one of the major math skills from 5th grade (topics below), work on some practice problems, squeeze in a practice game and try to build a growth mindset. Optional homework assignments will be provided.

🌴 This is an ongoing course for summer so you can enroll and unenroll each week to fit your vacation schedule. Recordings of sessions will be available for enrolled students in case you miss class because you are out enjoying your summer!

🌟 I want learners to feel confident in themselves & their math skills when they go back to school. Thank you for checking out my class!

My first goal is for students to have a positive relationship with math. Hopefully, I can build up their confidence and lower any stress around the subject. I try to normalize mistakes and create a low pressure, supportive and fun class environment.

I'm a Credentialed Middle and High School Math Teacher with 12 years teaching experience in grades 6 through 10 and a Master’s in Teaching.

I started my career teaching middle school math and then moved up to high school. I love teaching middle school after having taught high school because I have a very clear idea of where they are headed and exactly what they need to succeed in their first years of high school math.
