Important Information for Parents: This is a beginning babysitting class. It is intended for children who either have never babysat before or are just getting started. We DO NOT cover infant care in this class. In addition, a beginning babysitter should not be expected to learn and absorb everything they need to know to be a safe sitter in a single hour of class time. I am a certified instructor for the American Red Cross (ARC) Babysitting class. I taught this class for well over a decade, to hundreds of students. However, this Outschool class is not affiliated with the ARC in any way. The curriculum is my own.
In Session 3 we will cover – in a straightforward and factual way – what to do if the learner feels uncomfortable or threatened by the household's adult(s) or older siblings.
