What's included
1 live meeting
55 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this interactive life science and directed drawing adventure about the axolotl, which features video footage of the Axolotl Salamander's native habitat near Mexico City, students will explore the world of this amphibian: its habitat, behaviors, ecological status and “superpowers”. Then we will draw an Axolotl Salamander, together step-by-step, using a proven and fun drawing method. Here is what to expect in this class: 1. Our adventure will include the following: classroom discussion, short video clips, and engaging comprehension activities. Animal life science concepts will be covered including just what kind of animal this mysterious axolotl is, its scientific classification, what kind of habitat the axolotl thrives in, its behavior and characteristics, “superpowers” (regenerative abilities) and more. 2. Students will also learn step by step how to draw an axolotl. Creativity will always be encouraged. 3. Students will be encouraged, but never forced, to engage in class discussion and activities, that provide for a fun interactive time with their peers and to reinforce what they are learning. **As a bonus, all students will receive an Axolotl award certificate for their participation in the class as well as an Axolotl "Follow-Me" art map so that they can recreate what they learned in class. These will be made available on the classroom page right after class ends. Come join us for an Axolotl Adventure! Have a wonderful day.
