Come join us for this deep dive into the physics behind flight, led by Naval Aviation Veteran and certified teacher, Danielle Alaimo. Each session of the first 4 sessions of this class we will investigate one of the four forces of flight, previously covered in Aviation 101 class, and perform experiments and/or hands on activities that demonstrate how that force affects flight as well as the laws of physics that are involved. During the final 2 classes students will be working on and presenting in class, an independent project where they build a device that demonstrates one of the forces. 

This is a highly engaging and active class that requires all students to participate and share our excitement for aviation.

  Students Must Have Taken "Everything Aviation 101" or "equivalent in order to take this class. Message teacher for more info.

The schedule will be as follows:

Class 1 - Experimenting with Lift
Class 2 - Experimenting with Drag
Class 3 - Experimenting with Weight
Class 4 - Experimenting with Thrust
Class 5 - Introducing the Projects
Class 6 - Presenting the Projects
