ASL Valentine's Signs
Learn ASL vocabulary for Valentine's Day. We'll sign the book, "I Love You Al the Time". This class is great for kinesthetic & visual learners wanting to develop ASL as a second language or bridge the gap between deaf & hearing students.

Beginner Level
Students will learn theme-based vocabulary related to Valentine's Day. They will receive instruction on how to form the American Sign Language signs for vocabulary. In this energetic instruction, students will be encouraged as they formulate signs. Then, we will utilize those signs and more as we read and sign together the book, "I Love You All the Time". Students will develop confidence and support for developing ASL as a second language to begin communicating with those in the Deaf community in addition to creating a love for this beautiful language.
Learning Goals
* Students will learn at least 10-15 ASL signs
* We will interpret the book, "I Love You All the Time" together.
* Students will have the opportunity to share their favorite sign and ask questions about additional signs they want to learn.
Other Details
Supply List
You are welcome to read along the book, "I Love You All the Time" by Jennifer Elin Cole, Jessica Elin Hirschman and Bonnie Bright if you want. Otherwise, it will be incorporated into class for your child to see.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 8 years. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and have interpreted for a Deaf family in my church for several years in addition to signing with my children growing up. I have a Masters in Education with certifications in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor.
