Welcome to ASL Tutoring for Deaf Learners!

Our class is designed to help preK-5th grade children enhance their vocabulary and reading skills through immersive American Sign Language instruction. Whether your child is deaf, hard of hearing, struggling in school, or simply looking for a head start, this introductory class is the perfect place to start.

Here's what you can expect:
- **Content**: We will cover basic English and ASL vocabulary, focusing on action verbs, nouns, and descriptive words.

- **Format**: This class meets ongoing, and each session is tailored to each individual student, providing learners a preview into our classes.

- **Activities**: We'll take the words we learn and apply them by reading a book together, making learning engaging and fun.

- **Class Size**: Our weekly class, "Vocabulary Builders," have 1 to 1 student teacher meetings, ensuring a personalized learning experience.

We look forward to helping your child build their language skills and confidence through the world of American Sign Language. If Your child is older than the age range for this particular class please send us a message and we may be able to set up a private link for this class.

Parental Guidance
Lessons will be interactive and I will be sharing my screen so that students will be able to participate in our interactive lessons from my created content on Canva, such as flashcards, games, and a presentation.

Ms.Trina is the founder of ASL Kids Club and has over 20 years of experience teaching and working in school districts with both Deaf and hearing children. This extensive background has allowed her to hand-select each teacher to ensure that students receive top-tier instruction.

Our educators boast impressive credentials and experiences:
- One teacher has spent over two decades as an Educational Interpreter and Tutor, working closely with deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Their passion for sign language is driven by personal experiences with Deaf family members.
- Another teacher is proficient in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, American Sign Language, and Nicaraguan Sign Language. With over 10 years of teaching experience, they have served in various roles such as teaching, assisting, and mentoring students and interpreters.
- We also have a Deaf educator with expertise in speech, lipreading, and sign language. Their patience and kindness have positively impacted many students through their work as a tutor and assistant teacher at the School for the Deaf.
Together, our team is committed to providing an enriching ASL learning experience that accommodates diverse backgrounds and fosters growth.
