Hi everyone!

My name is Ms. Sarah!  

I have worked in early childhood education for many years now and I love teaching! Right now, I am a special education teacher and working on my master's in early childhood education and special education!

I teach basic to advanced American Sign Language (ASL) as well as piano and knitting!  I have been using sign language, playing piano and knitting all since I was a young child and I very much love to do all of them and be part of the deaf community, since I am hard of hearing myself!

I am a mom to two children, one dog named Emma, a cat named Rylie and SEVEN guinea pigs! I love all of my animals very much and they are stilll my children, just with four legs instead of two!

I feel like hands on, motor movement learning is so important for young children and can really stimulate their development in so many ways! I love to be active myself and work at an elementary school out in the woods next to a lake, so I get to do lots of exercise!  I also think it is important that we have time and opportunity to relax and calm our bodies, which we can do through knitting and playing piano!

I am excited to meet all of my new students! We will have so much fun & learn great things together!
