What's included
Homework
1 hour per week. Each week students will be assigned homework. Usually, it will consist of an online game or quiz to practice and reinforce what was taught that week.Assessment
Students will submit a video of themselves signing the alphabet at the end of the course.Class Experience
Week 1: Students will watch a video where we will go over the first 9 letters of the alphabet. Homework: Students will play an interactive game on Kahoot.com where they practice the letters they've just learned. Week 2: Students will watch a video and learn the next 9 letters of the alphabet in ASL. Homework: Students will complete a Nearpod interactive quiz where they will review the letters from this week and last week. Week 3: Student will learn the last part of the alphabet in American Sign Language. Homework: Students will submit photos of them signing letters on our class Padlet at https://padlet.com/kimberlyjanill/2x8zg8ulg1uonyyl . Then, they will comment on a different student's photo guessing what letters they signed. Week 4: We will review everything we've learned! There will also be a few fingerspelling challenges using what they've learned. Homework: students will complete one last online activity to review what we've learned. They will also submit a video of them signing the alphabet and receive teacher feedback!

Hello!! My name is Miss Kimberly. I have a bachelors degree from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. I have a mathematics emphasis and an American Sign Language endorsement. I have taught online school as well as traditional school for the past 4 years. I have taught from kindergarten- 9th grade online. In College, I was a camp counselor where I taught dance aerobics and beginning ASL. I have been a classroom aide and nanny. All together I have 12 years of experience teaching kids. I have a love for learning and teaching. With all of my various teaching experience, I am able to adjust my teaching to individual students. I love getting to know my students and how they best learn.
I love to have fun! Aside from teaching, I have several hobbies. I enjoy boating at the lake, riding four wheelers, singing and dancing. I enjoy trying new things as well as encouraging others to do the same.
