Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
My journey with American Sign Language began at age 8 and has been a defining part of my life ever since. Holding a BS in History Education with a minor in ASL Studies from NYU and a Master’s in Deaf Education from Western Maryland College, I have also studied at Gallaudet University and received specialized training from CAEBER in bilingual ASL/English techniques.

With over 21 years of teaching experience across various educational settings, including public, private, and homeschool environments, I’m particularly passionate about working with homeschoolers, as I’ve been homeschooling my own high school-aged children.

I believe that anyone can learn ASL, and my goal is to make this process as engaging and effective as possible. I strive to help learners not just sign, but truly connect through ASL, enhancing their communication skills and enriching their lives.
