US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner Level
Students will have fun and appreciate master art by several artists in history who did animals around the house. We will be drawing simple dogs, cats, birds and fish that you might see around the house. We will then talk about artists that did garden pictures and do flower picture with garden insects. We look at the master art and talk about and then create parts of our finished picture. My teaching style is relaxed, and we discuss and I do demonstrations. We learn about the animals and do pictures of them in their natural habitats. I look at the students work and encourage them. Students will love it.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about master artists in history and discuss the pets they had. Students will develop fine motor skills coming up with their original pictures. We will have a finished picture of pets in the house and a garden picture of insects and animals that are outside in the garden.

I have written classes for the National Black Homeschool Association and recently got a lesson accepted by the World War One Museum in Kansas City. My book "Teaching Geography through Art" is very popular as well. "Missouri Magazine" just informed me of publication of an article I wrote as well. I teach hands on art classes that combine art history, music and literature and make learning lots of fun. I have a B.S.E. from John Brown University and studied painting at Metropolitan in Denver and Sculpting at Southern Illinois University. I believe art should be encouraging and fun and most of all, connect to that little spark of originality that is in us all.
