This class is designed to engage elementary aged students to use their imagination and explore various art techniques. This class is perfect as an after school or homeschooling art class for first, second and third graders.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
This art class will focus on exploration of various art techniques and projects to inspire the creativity. Each child in class will create a unique piece of art that is different form their classmates. We will focus on a type of art, but each student then gets to choose how to execute that knowledge into their own design. Each week students will get a 2 minute video before class showing what kinds of materials they will need for class and an introduction on what we will be creating. This will also be communicated in writing. At the beginning of class I will go over the materials and our goal and start creating with the students. Things can get messy, so make sure your child is in a space where they can make a mess. This class is designed for primary age students in first through 3rd grade. Welcome! My name is Debbie and I am a certified teacher with a Bachelors of Science in Education with a concentration in the visual arts. I also hold Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on math and science. I have been lucky enough throughout my career to have taught grades K through 6 and be a math and reading interventionist. Math is one of my favorite subjects to teach and I love thinking of creative ways to get students to love it too and gain confidence.
