Batik is an ancient art form that has been around for centuries. In our one time art class, your child will learn about batik, learn science concepts behind this art style, and create their own paper batik art project. During our class, we will discuss what is batik, the origins of it, and how it is used in today's world. I will share my screen so that the kids will be able to see examples of batik. I encourage the kids to ask questions about our class topic because that is one way that we all learn. My teaching style is guided discussion by asking the kids questions, demonstrations, and hands-on learning. The learners will follow my directions and watch me demonstrate each step so that they can create their own paper batik art. During our art project time, the kids will be able to interact with each other as we create our paper batik paintings. A pdf of the classroom supplies will be uploaded to the classroom so that it can be printed. ****Friends and Siblings**** All learners must be enrolled in the class to be fair to the other enrolled learners.
