ABOUT: ✨This *camp/workshop* aims to inspire and support learners in expanding their understanding of Art, Mindfulness & Yoga practices while building self confidence and making connections with other learners who enjoy these activities. Students will gain a deeper understanding of Yoga asana (poses), breathing, meditation, process art techniques and mindfulness-based stress reduction skills.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (200hr) and certified Children's Yoga Instructor (2015). I have 22 years experience as a Yoga practitioner and 5 years experience as a Yoga Instructor. I completed my MA ('22) in Innovative Early Childhood Education, focusing on the Reggio Emilia Approach, and I have a BFA ('04) in Studio / Visual Arts with 12 years experience as a Teaching Artist specializing in arts integration. I love creating and experiencing art of all kinds!
2 files available upon enrollment*Comfortable clothes, bare feet or slip-proof socks *A Yoga mat if you have one, but if not just find an area where you have enough room on the floor to lie down with your arms and legs fully extended. I don't recommend using towels or blankets to replace a Yoga mat, as they can cause you to trip or slip. * art materials (more details will be shared upon enrollment; suggested materials will include paper and/or journal, drawing/writing tools, paints, any type of clay or dough, scissors, glue, collage materials, loose parts)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
