Class Experience

This is the flex version of my weekly art class for intermediate artists. Students will create art, while also learning something related to math, science, reading, music, and/or history. We will be working with a variety of mediums including; marker, oil pastel, chalk pastel, watercolor, tempera, air dry clay, and construction paper.

Art lessons will be delivered as recorded project videos that your child can watch and participate in at a time that is convenient for you. Two videos will be released each week. The first video will introduce the topic for the week and provide step by step instructions for the first part of the project. The second video will provide step by step instructions for finishing the project as well as any extension ideas for students to expand their learning and creativity.

Group discussions will be facilitated by the teacher on the classroom page each week. Students are expected to participate in at least one way each week: Either by responding to discussion prompts posted by the teacher, asking a question or adding a comment pertaining to the subject matter we are learning that week, and/or sharing their progress or finished artwork each week. Students are expected to engage in positive interactions with the teacher and other students on the Outschool classroom page so that we can build a community of amazing artists.
