Create a simple Christmas snowman . Students will learn water colour art techniques , blending and using brush strokes to give the shading and perspective of light and dark. No prior knowledge on water colour is needed. The teacher will discuss the basics and help the students to make their first water colour art of a snowman on a winter Christmas eve. The students can inform the teacher beforehand if they would like to make it into a card. It is important to have all the supplies for the class to ensure learning the techniques. Art can take time and so please expect the class to get extended by 5 to 10 minutes since it would depend on the pace of the students in the class.

Supply List
Water colours (cakes , tubes or bottles), Art paper (300 gsm cold pressed preferred), Round and Flat brushes (sizes 1,2,6, 8,10,14 for round and 8, 10 and 16 for flat), large colour mixing palette, 2 water beakers, rags to wipe the brushes, tea towel or absorbent cloth, masking tape, pencil, eraser and coloured markers.
