Art Across the USA Learn about United States art history, explore artists from each of the 50 states, and create your own art inspired by their work. In this ongoing class, students will learn about an artist, a style of art, or a group of artists that comes from that state. - Students will learn about different artists and gain exposure to different types of artwork. Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression, and artistic decision making. Students will gain skills in different art mediums such as drawing, painting, collage, and weaving.
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!

Materials needed almost every week: Drawing paper Pencil Eraser Other materials used throughout the course: Drawing- crayons, colored pencils, markers Watercolor- watercolor paints, paintbrush, cup of water, paper towels Painting- acrylic or tempera paint, paintbrushes, cup of water, paper towels, paper plate or something to use as a pallet Collage- colored paper, scissors, glue Mixed Media- paper, drawing materials, yarn, paint, scissors, glue, patterned paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
