Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this class we will talk about manners and how important it is to use manners every day in our lives. This interactive class will include learning through a fun game with a pirate theme where students will participate by answering questions about manners. The class will start with a get to know you activity to get comfortable. We will then move on to the Captain’s Quarters game where we have been invited to a pirate’s dinner to make sure the pirates are using their best manners. The game has sill scenarios that make talking about manners fun. The game board features pirates sitting at the Captain’s table with empty dinner plates in front of them. Each time we use our manners in each scenario, we get to colour in one plate on the dinner table. This is a cooperative game, so everybody wins when all of the plates are full (coloured in).

My name is Kemble Flynn and I am beyond excited to become part of the Outschool community. I have a Bachelor of Education Degree specializing in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for over 23 years in the HRM. I have been teaching Grade Primary (Kindergarten) for the past 12 years and love teaching the little ones. I love when my students have their “aha” moments when the learning starts to click and their face just lights up with pride.

I will be providing one-on-one and/or small group instruction in the areas of literacy, math and health. I strive to create a learning experiene that helps young learners build a richer vocabulary and a solid knowledge base in the topic being explored.

I nurture a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, empowered, and motivated to succeed. I always try to foster a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom, laying a solid foundation for future academic success and lifelong achievement.

Join me on this exciting educational journey where your child blossoms into a confident learner, equipped with the skills and strategies needed to thrive in school and beyond. Together, we'll unlock the potential within your child and celebrate their progress every step of the way!

Something fun and personal about me...I love to knit and crochet and make my own pompoms for my knitted hats. My dog will be turning 16 years old this June!!! His name is Ceba and he is a Havanese and he makes me smile every day.

I am looking forward to meeting you and your child.
