US Grade 3 - 6
In this virtual escape room, learners will take a trip to a different country each week. They will work through logic puzzles in order to learn more about the country and eventually find their way back home. Time is running out, so they will work as a cohesive team in order to learn new information and get home. Students will not only learn facts about each country, but they will work collaboratively in order to complete the challenges that require logic skills, linguistic knowledge, and knowledge about that particular country. Since this is an escape rooms, the class may last a little bit longer or finish earlier than the time stated. If the class finishes earlier, I will review the content that we learned during our adventure to that country. Come help us explore different countries together before time runs out! week of Feb. 4 : Croatia

Hi everyone!
I have taught in person for over 15 years and online for 4 years. I have taught math, social studies, cultural studies, English Literature, ESL, and AP Seminar for learners from 6 years old to adults. I've also taught arts and crafts, sewing, crocheting, drawing and painting for children 6 years old to 16 years old.
I have a BA in Linguistics from the University of Texas (Hook 'em horns!), an MA in Sociology from Sam Houston State University, and an MA in Teaching English from Hamline University. I also have my doctorate in English Pedagogy from Murray State University.
My approach to teaching is making sure everyone has fun, learn important facts, and are completely and utterly engaged in the content.
A fun fact about me is that I was a certified teacher in Texas and I homeschooled my own two children for several years. Now, I'm currently training my Pomeranian puppy to be a good boy!
