Arctic Animals Circle Time!
What's included
1 live meeting
25 mins in-class hoursAssessment
Informal assessment. Let me know if you would like to know how your child did in class.Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
In this class students will learn about several arctic animals through a mini lesson, song, and finger play. No prior knowledge needed. They will also have the chance to participate in a circle time as well as show and tell, and get to make a craft and play a game having to do with arctic animals. My hope is that they are involved in a way that they feel comfortable, whether that's being involved vocally with information to share or just watching, singing, and playing along with us. I know that every child is different with different needs and learning styles. I will make sure every child has a chance to participate if they would like to and will give them several opportunities to do just that. I look forward to meeting your child and hope they enjoy this fun class!
Learning Goals
In this one time class we will start with a get to know you song, then have circle time including a fun question of the day, and will review the date and weather. We will then talk about several arctic animals, sing a song, do a finger play, and end with show and tell and an arctic animal craft! (If there is time left we will play an arctic animal "hide and seek" game)

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! My name is Kimberly and I love teaching. I hold a current bachelors degree in elementary education and a certificate in early education. I teach preschool circle time theme classes, and also plan on teaching art, life skills, as well as other specific hobbies and interests for older kids-stay tuned. I have over 20 years of experience providing care for and teaching children and youth through volunteer work, church callings, and employment.
I have worked in daycare and preschool settings, co-owned a preschool and was a Kindergarten teacher before having my own children. I most recently taught ESL online for 3 years and have a current TESOL certificate. I am grateful for my role as Mom (girls and boys-preteen down to kindergarten) and above all I enjoy spending time with my children and watching them learn and grow! My happy place is the rugged Oregon coast. I am an aspiring artist, crafter, and certified sensory-bin maker. ;) I love rollerblading, camping, good music, and of course most of all spending time with my family!
I love finding out what teaching method/s work best for each individual student and absolutely love to help each student succeed so they can experience the joy that comes from learning and growing!
I look forward to meeting you!
