Learner progress will be assessed by the teacher daily during each lesson as they observe that students are becoming comfortable, independent and fluent in their reading. Comprehension will be monitored regularly through questions and answers as well as activities on the slides that require students to demonstrate understanding. Writing will improve as students keep a regular journal that will show their progression over time. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class, their own independent reading, as well as how they are using learned information and reading techniques outside of class.Class Experience

▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐Course Overview⭐ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ This ongoing class focuses on developing the Arabic language reading skills of non-native Arabic speakers who have a basic vocabulary foundation and can read simple sentences in Arabic. The course is designed for students who can recognize all Arabic letters, forms and vowels. In each class, students will have the opportunity to read stories from Levels D-J of the Reading A-Z series, featuring adventures of children, animals, and other fictional and non-fictional characters exploring various everyday topics. The class will be taught in both English and Modern Standard Arabic. Throughout the course, students will improve their vocabulary and comprehension skills while also enhancing their ability to self-correct their reading mistakes. The course will cover topics such as family, home, school, the park, the zoo, friends, pets, and the store. Each class will involve letter activities, vocabulary review, story reading, comprehension, and writing. Students will interact with their classmates and instructor continuously through talking, writing, reading, and completing activities on the slides. Students are welcome to join and leave at any time, as there is no previous information needed in order to succeed in the current week’s lesson. If you’d like to know exactly what week we are in (and that week’s topic), please send us a message to inquire. 📅 Are you looking for a class that meets 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x per week? Send us a message about a class frequency change. 💬 We can also accommodate learners and families wanting full immersion vs. bilingual classes. Send us a message to learn more! ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 📚Literature Read📚 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ In the first four weeks of the course, students will read four stories, starting with "My Neighborhood" and concluding with "Do Not Eat That." Additional stories will be introduced in the following weeks. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 💬Language of Instruction💬▬▬▬▬▬▬ This is an immersion class, which means lessons will be taught primarily in Arabic. However, teachers will use English as necessary to guide students. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✨Target Student✨▬▬▬▬▬▬ Readers at the Developing Reader's level, apply their understanding of phonics to read unfamiliar words, recognize frequently read words by sight, and self-correct their reading mistakes. They also focus on decoding, which requires fewer cognitive resources for comprehension. The course materials will reflect the characteristics of developing readers, including increasingly more lines of print per page, more complex sentence structure, fewer repetitive patterns, and pictures that relate to the story. Students should be firm with ALL letters, forms and vowels of the Arabic language. Students should be experienced with sounding out words and reading sentences in Arabic and have a basic vocabulary foundation.

I have experience teaching kids as young as 4 years old how to read, write and speak Arabic at the basic levels and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.
