▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐Course Overview⭐ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Welcome to our unique and exciting kindergarten preparation course! In this class, we will be exploring the seven continents of the world and discovering new languages and cultures, all while gaining the basic skills necessary for kindergarten. Our weekly schedule will be themed around a different continent every 5 lessons. Our class is designed to be interactive and engaging for students of all levels and backgrounds. We will cover a wide range of topics including days of the week, months of the year, reciting the date, numbers, colors, shapes, counting, number order, letter names, letter sounds, rhyming, sight words, and reading and writing words. Our teacher will use slides and interactive activities to ensure that students can clearly see and understand the information. Each class will begin with a "music and movement" song to get students involved and active. We will learn various greetings from around the world and have calendar time, in which we will recite the days of the week and months of the year. We will also learn and review pictures and vocabulary words for the letters of the week. Our class will include interactive activities that allow students to write on the computer screen or on paper. We will also count and practice numbers with manipulatives. At the end of each class, we will sing a goodbye song and learn and give salutations in multiple languages. 📅 Are you looking for a class that meets 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x per week? Send us a message about a class frequency change. 💬 We can also accommodate learners and families wanting full immersion vs. bilingual classes. Send us a message to learn more! ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 💬Language of Instruction💬▬▬▬▬▬▬ This is an immersion class, which means lessons will be taught primarily in the target language. However, teachers will use English as necessary to guide students. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🌍Target Student🌍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ We welcome students of all levels and backgrounds, and no prior experience or knowledge is required. Mrs. Thaljeya - Hello everyone my name is Thaljeya Hamdan. I am from a city in Palestine called ‘Ramallah’. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children. I immigrated with my family to the United States when I was 11 years old. I studied in Chicago and I have moved back and forth ever since. I have worked half of my life with kids as a babysitter and I have tutored both English and Arabic.
Mrs. Sondos - Ahlan wa Sahlan! My name is Mrs. Sondos and I teach Arabic! I am half Egyptian and half Syrian and I can understand almost every Arabic dialect out there. I’m a tutor and part time teacher. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2021 and I have been tutoring and teaching since 2019. I have always believed that everyone, regardless of age, deserves a fair chance at learning any subject out there. I’ve seen students struggle and I’ve seen them succeed and have realized that the most important key to success is building a strong foundation in the subject they’re trying to learn. I want to be the one to help others build and maintain that strong foundation that they’ll take with them wherever they go! I have experience teaching kids as young as 4 years old how to read, write and speak Arabic at the basic levels and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. I love the Arabic language and I can’t wait to help your child explore its beauty with me!
Bassant
My name is Bassant, and I hold a master’s degree in education with over 12 years of experience in the education field. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to fostering a love of learning in my students and equipping them with the skills they need to succeed. My teaching philosophy is deeply influenced by my Montessori certification, which emphasizes student-centered learning, and I also hold a certificate in learning difficulties, allowing me to effectively support students with diverse learning needs.
My journey in teaching has been enriched by my proficiency in multiple languages, specifically English and Arabic. With a strong academic background and extensive practical experience, I have developed a comprehensive skill set that enables me to create engaging and effective language programs.
As a native Arabic speaker with professional proficiency, I have experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. I employ cultural immersion techniques to enhance language learning, providing students with a rich and authentic experience.
