In this one-time class we will be discussing apples. A variety of books will be read about apples. These books will be Ten Red Apples by Pat Hutchins, Apples, Apples, Apples by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace and Apples by Gail Gibbons. In between books, we will be having a sing-a-long time with fun apple theme songs including One little, Two little Apples, A-P-P-L-E, Parts of an Apple Song, and Have you ever seen an apple? . I will also have apples with me to show students the different parts of the apple and have discussion about how the apple grows. Next, we will complete a fun simple craft to go along with the apple theme! Teaching will be active with fun stories and songs with motions! I look forward to having a fun time with your child singing and reading with them!
Learning Goals
Students will have fun reading stories and singing songs about stories. They will learn the different parts of the apple and that apples come in different colors.

Supply List
Items needed for our craft are: red paper green paper (cut out for a leaf) paper plate OR cardstock cut into a circle glue Also if you would like to bring an apple to class that would be great but not necessary.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
