Unit 6 of AP World History covers c. 1750-1900 1. Rationale for Imperialism 2. State Expansion 3. Local Responses to State Expansion 4. Global Economic Development 5. Economic Imperialism 6. Causes of Migration in an Interconnected World 7. Effects of Migration 8. Causation in the Imperial Age Students who attend this class will be provided with a content review, practice multiple-choice questions, and a significant amount of resources to read, use, or watch to continue to fill in the missing pieces of Unit 6 (based on the College Board curriculum for AP World History.) The first half of the class is presentation format (via shared PowerPoint) and students are encouraged to ask questions. The second half of the class will use Kahoot to allow students to participate in the multiple-choice review. (if there is enough time - if not, a self pace Kahoot link will be provided.) (Kahoot requires access through a browser, however, students only need to enter their first names.) At the end of class, I will share a document that contains a variety of Unit 6 review materials.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of Unit 6 of AP World History (Consequences of Industrialization).
Students will identify key events and locations relating to imperialism during the time period 1750-1900
Students will define key terms.

Students should be enrolled in an AP World History course or preparing to take the exam.
