Class Experience

This weekly 1-1 AP Psychology tutoring class aims at preparing the student to understand Psychology concepts deeply, solve any questions regarding their course, and prepare them to for all the AP Psychology exam, including the multiple choice section and the FRQ (free response questions) section.

The content will be based entirely on the student's needs and areas of development. Please communicate any specific needs, such as areas of difficulty, low performance on tests, difficulty with a specific type of test question, etc., so I can prepare accordingly.

My style is approachable, flexible, and friendly - I will include examples and activities to strengthen the student's understanding and improve their performance.

Possible topics to include:

- Psychology's history and approaches
- Research methods
- Biological bases of behavior
- Sensation and perception
- States of consciousness
- Learning
- Cognition
- Motivation and emotion
- Developmental psychology
- Personality
- Testing and individual differences
- Abnormal behavior
- Treatment
- Social Psychology
- Test practice (multiple choice and FRQs)

My experience includes AP Psychology teaching to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors in high school, college and university teaching in Psychology, and fieldwork in different Psychology fields (clinical, counseling, educational, social, organizational, etc.)
Learning Goals
Deep understanding of AP Psychology topics and better performance at multiple choice and FRQ sections of the AP Psychology test.
