AP Physics 1 PREP

Students will get a quick overview of the 2024-25 class with the new unit changes. They will get the new equation sheet. Students will learn 1 basic type of motion.

Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12

This is for students who are preparing for AP Physics 1 in the 2024-25 school year. We will cover the new class design, the new equation sheet, and gain an introduction in kinematics. There will be time to answer questions. Any leftover time will be spend talking about the new exam format.

Kinematics
Force and Translational Dynamics
Work, Energy, and Power
Linear Momentum
Torque and Rotational Dynamics
Energy and Momentum in rotating systems
Oscillations

Supply List

A two-page equation sheet will be included. You will need scratch paper, graph paper, and something to write with. You may include a class binder with divider tabs (optional).

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
