AP Government & Politics Tutoring

I offer 1:1 tutoring for mastering the AP Government & Politics course and exam. We will cover themes, decipher readings, learn court cases, connect history to the present and practice writing for the exam.

Class experience

US Grade 9 - 12
I am a university professor with a PhD in Jurisprudence from UC Berkeley and I teach political science and public law, including courses in Constitutional Law
Please make sure you have with you any texts assigned in your AP course and access, either in print or on your device, to a copy of the US Constitution and all 27 amendments and the decisions from the 15 required Supreme Court cases. (All constitutional and case materials are available online at Oyez, an age-appropriate resource run by Cornell University.) 
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Exploration of legal history does mean encountering some language, especially about race and gender, in court decisions and other primary sources which we now find offensive. While this language is not the focus of the course students may encounter it when reading directly from the historical sources that are required for the AP curriculum. 
We will refer to the Constitution and many of the 27 amendments. We will also use primary sources required for the exam, such as Supreme Court decisions (15 required cases), the Declaration of Independence, and the Federalist Papers.
