In this two part class, learners will draw an anime character and then become their character using makeup artistry! Part 1: Drawing & Facechart Sketches Learners will brainstorm to visualize their characters. Students are encouraged to bring reference pictures for inspiration. Once they have a good vision for their character, they will translate their sketch to a facechart. Facecharts are a tool used by makeup artists to plan and design their looks. MUA students and mentors will sketch out their designs (MUA students and mentors may utilize paper or digital drawing). Part 2: Anime Makeup Transformation Student MUAs will follow along with their MUA mentors through the process of recreating their anime drawings on their own face using makeup artistry! All skill levels are always welcome. The class is taught in such a way that beginners and experts alike can thrive! MUA mentors answer questions and provide tips and tricks to help students execute their vision.
Learning Goals
By the end of this class students will have completed their own anime makeup look inspired by their own drawings.

Please be aware that any time anything is applied to the skin there is a risk of a reaction. Please be aware of possible allergic reactions.
Anime looks do not generally include SFX gore effects, however students are encouraged to embrace their creativity. As such, SFX looks are permissible, please message us in advance if you would like us to request NO SFX looks.
Supply List
A suggested supply list is included in the welcome packet. Additionally, students will require a clean, well lit, prepared space to create their looks.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
