In "Animals of the Sonoran Desert," learners will be introduced to 10 animals of the Sonoran Desert. Learners will discover 10 animals of the Sonoran desert, explore how they live, and respond to content through speaking, writing, and/or artistic expression.
I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade science. Arizona is my home, and I grew up living around these animals! My love of the Sonoran Desert and the animals that live here makes me want to share it with others.
No homework here, but feel free to research these amazing creatures more!
Please provide writing and art supplies based on your learner's preference; learners will be invited to write or type notes, and draw or color throughout the duration of the lesson.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learner progress is assess in the following 3 ways: 1) Participation: engagement in the lesson and following along with the teacher's instructions. 2) Treating others with respect: listening and speaking with consideration. 3) Completing the learning activities: verbal, digital, and/or artistic responses.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
