During class, students will view some of the most interesting and unique islands in the Animal Crossing game. We will discuss aspects of each island that make it that make it the envy of the ACNH community. We will look at some of the great ideas as well as obstacles which make an island a less-than-desirable address. I will share some tips and tricks that make the process of creating the ideal island a little easier or less time-consuming. Specifically, we will talk about the island designer app and how to use it (unlocked at 3 stars), how to create beautiful flower gardens, ways to use shrubs and hedges, different types of fencing and how to maximize bell earnings (to purchase needed supplies), all of which are essential to achieving the island’s highest rating. 

As a new player, creating an ideal island will seem like a daunting task. There are weeds and branches to pick up, trees to plant and houses to build. But once past the first stage, players begin to visualize what their island could look like with a little work. During this one-time class, students will learn some valuable tools to help unlock their island’s potential in order to create their unique 5-star island paradise.

At the end of class, students will receive valuable gifts to aid in their quest for the “perfect” island. Please note:  Although not required to participate in class, a Nintendo online subscription enables me to send both helpful and valuable items to my students both after class and periodically thereafter.
