As learners build their islands, they’ll draw and write stories about their adventures, learning vital English skills. Using the game as inspiration, we will learn about settings, characters, plot, sentence structure, audience and more.

Homework Offered
Learners will be given either a writing task or a drawing challenge to complete each week. This homework assignment is optional--I want the class to work for you! However, if learner's turn in assignments, I will be able to give them detailed feedback and guidance on how to improve their writing.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Your Learner's privacy is extremely important to myself and Outschool. Gamer tags are not required for this course, but they may be used if your Learner wants to visit the teacher’s island via Dodo code. 

Your Learner should never share their gaming tag with anyone but the teacher. Learners or parents should message gamer tags directly through a private message. Never share gamer tags in the classroom page 

The teacher will also be sharing examples of live game play during class. Live game play will use the Nintendo Switch and the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which has a PEGI age rating of 3.
