In this 3-day class, learners will create a dog painting, cat drawing, and goldfish paper collage.
Class experience
Each class will start with either introductions or a review of what was covered in previous days. Learners will create artwork inspired by pets: dogs, cats, and goldfish. Not only will we make artwork of pets, but we will also introduced to drawing, painting, collage techniques, famous artists, and other important art concepts. Each lesson will be taught in a directed drawing style to aid those who are not confident in their skills yet. However, after the learners have completed the steps...
Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression and artistic decision making. Students will be introduced to drawing, painting, collage techniques.
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!
Day 1: Dog Acrylic or tempra paint, painting supplies (paint brush, cup of water, paper towels, etc.) white paper, scissors, glue, markers or crayons Day 2: Cat, drawing White paper, pencil, black permanent marker (if available), drawing supplies (markers, crayons, or colored pencils) Day 3: Fish, paper collage Colored paper, scissors, glue, black permanent marker (if available), crayons
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students must be comfortable with scissors. If not, they will need parental assistance.
