In this 3-day class, learners will create a tiger painting, cheetah drawing, and lion paper collage.
Class experience
Each class will start with either introductions or a review of what was covered in previous days. Learners will create artwork inspired by big cats: lions, tigers, and cheetahs. Not only will we make artwork of cats, but we will also introduced to drawing, painting, collage techniques, and other important art concepts. Each lesson will be taught in a directed drawing style to aid those who are not confident in their skills yet. However, after the learners have completed the steps...

Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression and artistic decision making. Students will be introduced to drawing, painting, collage techniques.
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!
Day 1: Lion, paper collage Colored paper (yellow, and 2 other colors of your choice), scissors, glue, black permanent marker (if available) Day 2: Cheetah, drawing White paper, pencil, black permanent marker (if available), drawing supplies (markers, crayons, or colored pencils) Day 3: Tiger, painting Orange paper, black acrylic or tempura paint, painting supplies (paint brush, cup of water, paper towels, etc.) white paper, scissors, glue, green markers or crayons
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
