Welcome animal lovers! This class will meet once a week for 8 weeks. Each class will be 30 minutes long. Each class will cover a different category of animals (birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, insects, rodents, sea creatures, wild cats, endangered animals.) We will examine each category of animals through vibrant slide shows, discussions, simple crafts, and trivia games. Supplies: Pencil and eraser Markers/colored pencils/wax crayons Scissors Glue (stick or liquid) Tape White paper Construction paper (many different colors) Paint (white, brown, black) and paintbrush Paper plates Popsicle sticks Push pin/paper fastener Breakdown of supplies by week: Week 1: Paper, pencil, eraser, colored pencils/markers, scissors, glue (stick or liquid), construction paper (red, blue, yellow.) Week 2: one piece of white paper. At least 2 pieces of construction paper (any colors), scissors, markers. Week 3: construction paper (2 pieces of yellow, 1 piece of orange, 1 piece of brown), glue (stick or liquid), scissors, markers. Week 4: two white paper plates, scissors, water color paints (or markers), 1 push pin for paper. Week 5: construction paper (1 piece green, 1 piece orange, 1 piece black), scissors, tape, markers, 2 popsicle sticks or straws. Week 6: two pieces of construction paper (1 white, 1 any color), scissors, glue (stick or liquid), markers. Week 7: one white paper plate, 1 piece of construction paper (any color), string (as many colors as you’d like), 1 popsicle stick, scissors, glue (stick or white), markers. Week 8: One piece of white paper, paint (black, brown, white), paintbrush.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
