Let's get down to drawing different figure poses while exploring different themes from steampunk to horror to fantasy. Some experience in drawing objects or the body will be required, however, I will guide them through various complex areas. Students will explore different drawing techniques from creating form through shading to exploring texture and proportions. As this course is not only an in-depth study of the human body, students will be allowed to use their imaginations as well. Students will also be able to think and discuss the functions of these as well! 0:00-5:00 min- Introduction to the topic and showing the example of drawing we are doing. 5:00-20:00min- Begin drawing. The focus is on sketching out the framework of the body part and working out the proportions 20:00-23:00 min- Comments, feedback on drawings. 23:00-38:00 min- Focus on drawing the details, including the use of shading techniques 38:00-41:00 min-comments, feedback on drawings 41:00-48:00 min-extension the drawing, making good use of one's imagination. Here is a tentative schedule: April 10th- negative space-side pose figure drawing April 17th- negative space- portraiture May 1st- Positive space- figure drawing( color) May 8th-Positive space- figure drawing(color) Week of June 4th: Fantasy side profile June 11th: Fantasy figure drawing June 18th: Fantasy figure drawing June 25th: Cyborg Steampunk portrait July 2nd: Steampunk figure drawing July 9th: Steampunk figure drawing July 16th: Steampunk Drawing! July 23rd: Steampunk figure drawing. July 30th: Figure on the ground.
