This class is an introduction to the anatomy and basic physiology of 5 human body systems and major organs. Specifically, this class will focus on the identification and main functions of the human digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Class will be taught with powerpoint slides and in lecture format. I always encourage learner interaction, class discussion and questions. Fun quizzes will be utilized at the end of class to challenge learners with their new found knowledge. I strive to make my classes a little "humerus," and always light"heart"ed for a fun, educational and memorable time together! No previous experience or knowledge on anatomy or physiology is required. Worksheets will be provided for learners to follow along and practice their anatomy identification after class!
Learning Goals
Learners will be able to identify the structure and basic function of one or more organs from the human digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, nervous and musculoskeletal systems.
