In this engaging class, students will explore themes of friendship and adventure as depicted in the American Girl Doll series. They will develop creative storytelling skills by creating and sharing their own mini-adventure scenarios featuring their favorite American Girl Doll. Topics Covered: Friendship: How different dolls form and maintain friendships across various historical settings. Adventure: Crafting imaginative stories and scenarios involving their dolls. Creativity and Storytelling: Developing and sharing their own unique adventure stories. Students will discuss their favorite dolls and the role of friendship in their stories. Activities -Students will design their own mini-adventure scenarios for their doll. They can illustrate or write their stories. They’ll have the chance to share their stories with the group. The class encourages active participation through storytelling, discussion, and creative activities. Students are prompted to use their imagination and artistic skills to develop their adventure stories. The focus is on creating a positive and enjoyable environment where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas. Overall, this class aims to inspire creativity and foster a love for storytelling while connecting students with the rich history and themes of the American Girl Doll series.
