Students will participate in a discussion about artists Georgia O'Keefe and Mary Cassatt. They are both well-known American artists. We will look specifically at Georgia O'Keefe's flowers and Mary Cassatt's teacups and discuss why these paintings were created. We will also look at the process of these works of art and the materials they used. Students will attempt to recreate art by these women using the materials they provide. I have attached two images by the artists that we will be discussing.

Supply List
I try to keep cost at a minimum. I will be flexible with items and hope that you have some of them at home. Required items: a large piece of paper, preferably 12x18, crayons, markers, or colored pencils will do. If possible oil pastels or watercolor paints are preferred. I have taught these projects with just crayons and markers.

External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
