Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to: Understand and Use Functions and Function Notations Interpret and Create Graphs of Linear Functions Write Equations of Linear Functions in Three Forms (Standard Form, Slope-Intercept Form, and Point-Slope Form) Identify and Compare Rates of Change (Slope) Use Linear and Inverse Variation Equations to Model Bivariate Data Graph and Write Piecewise-Defined Linear Functions Graph Inequalities in Two Variables Solve Systems of Linear Equations Solve Systems of Linear Inequalities
Students will have homework assigned every Monday to be checked the following Monday. Homework is on Khan Academy. Occasional paper homework will be assigned.
Learners must have a notebook and pencil. Printing out the worksheets is helpful.

Each class ends with a short Exit Ticket assessment and the course includes a pre- and post-assessment to help track progress.
3 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
In this class we will occasionally use Desmos.com. The students will not be required to create an account or login to participate in these activities. Here are the Desmos.com Terms of Service: https://www.desmos.com/terms
The teacher will provide printouts for the class. We will also use Google Forms for Exit Tickets and Desmos.com for activities. Students homework will be composed of Khan Academy problems.
