In this class we will be traveling to Mexico as a group of scientist to study the Axolotl in their natural habitat. I like to get my students engaged in their learning, we will start with an introduction as they learn about their exciting assignment in Mexico. I will assess what my scientist already know and what they would like to learn (the less they already know the better). As we prepare for our trip we will Read about Axolotls, work on our reading comprehension skills, and learn how text...
The students will learn about Amphibians while working on their reading comprehension skills, text features, writing informational text, and drawing.
I am an elementary teacher and have experience in teaching secondary science.
No homework will be assigned. I love to see any additional research my scientist collect on their own, so feel free to send any additional work they choose to do.
Writing paper, pencil, drawing paper, and students choice of crayons, makers, or coloring pencils.
Informational Writing and Discussion
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
