This introduction-level series runs just like a full semester course, but with the flexibility and convenience of ongoing enrollment. Classes meet twice per week. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀: Classes are engaging! Learners will be given code at the beginning of each class to join Nearpod.com for an interactive lecture. Learners will participate in hands-on labeling activities, quizzes and games. Discussions around pathology and clinical cases will be presented. An optional study guide will be available each week. Parental Guidance
* Some classes may showcase clinical cases and short videos that may depict surgeries, wounds and/or blood that can be graphic in nature.
* The respiratory lab uses plastic bags to measure lung volumes. This may pose a choking hazard.
* Classes on the reproductive system include sensitive topics and images that include, but are not limited to, the anatomy of external genitalia, physiology of erections, menstrual cycles and childbirth.
* Nearpod.com will be used to provide a more interactive class experience. This third party tool is approved. No additional account is required. A link will be provided at the beginning of class.
Supply List
An optional study guide will be provided at least 24 hours before each class. Study guides can be downloaded or printed for learners to follow along during class.

Classes on the reproductive system will focus on the anatomy (parts) and physiology (function), rather than topics on sexuality, gender issues and sexual health. All material presented is factual and science-based.
My experience in teaching started when I was in high school as a math and ESL tutor. I majored in life sciences at Queen’s University in Ontario with a minor in psychology. I moved to North Carolina and practiced for 5 years as a chiropractor and acupuncturist before starting a family and embarking on a second career as a university instructor.
