All Around We Go! Finding Perimeter
In this class students will concentrate on finding the perimeter of triangles, squares, and rectangles. We will briefly talk about other shapes. They will also receive a handout to do some of their own measuring.

All around the shapes we go! We will start this class talking about different shapes; matching the shape to the correct word. Then we will focus on the square, triangle, and rectangle; we will identify different ways to find the perimeter of each of these shapes. In this class students will have some lecture instruction; as well as, a lot of opportunities to interact with their teacher and classmates. We will play some games and complete a handout I will send to you. Students will use a ruler using either inches or centimeters to complete the handout.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
