In this interactive class we will learn about the geography and changing climate of the Arctic, the people who call this region home such as the Sami and Inuit and wildlife such as the polar bear, caribou, arctic fox and narwhal. This will be a mixed media class with a slideshow, famous paintings, discussion time and videos from Nat Geo and Ted Ed. There will also be an opportunity to discuss any recent positive or interesting news stories associated with the Arctic region. We will end with a pop quiz and an Arctic themed drawing tutorial! Questions and discussions are always welcome in this interactive and age-appropriate class. No prior knowledge needed, all are welcome.
