Learning about animals at a young age is a way to help young people connect with the world around them. In this one-time class, your child will learn to recall facts about pigs' habitats, size, diet, and body parts. Through movement, creativity, and visuals, students will learn to use proper vocabulary to describe pigs. At the beginning of class, I will informally assess students' by asking them what their experience is with pigs. Students will follow along with the teacher's slideshow that will include engaging visuals. Crossing curriculums is beneficial to educating the whole child. In addition to pig facts, the teacher will demonstrate how to draw a pig and allow the students to draw. Students' will also learn the beginning letter of "pig" and be asked to identify it. The students will apply their skills through interaction with the teacher's questions, games, and movement. At the end of class, the teacher will summarize the learning objectives with the students.

Teacher expertise and credentials
With a bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and a Master's in School Counseling, I know how vital social-emotional learning is. It can actually improve students' academic performance, relationships, and overall well-being! I have worked with children from preschool to 8th grade. I believe every student is an individual with their own learning style, personality, and interests. For this reason, my classes are always differentiated for the learners in my class. I enjoy teaching social-emotional lessons such as Stress Management, Responsibility, and conflict resolution, to list a few. I also value social connections that children need to bring warmth, empathy, and joy into their lives. Therefore, I also enjoy having social clubs such as Morning Meeting and Friendship groups. Finally, I am also passionate about teaching reading as stories can teach us some of the most important social emotional lessons! This is why you will also see some classes about reading on my profile. I hope to see your child in my online classroom. :)
When I'm not teaching or studying, I love to spend time with my family. I also have a lot of fun decorating and making the most mundane of tasks fun! Oh, and personally, I think dinosaurs and unicorns are the coolest. Maybe some will make an appearance in class if your child feels the same! I can't wait to get to know your child.
