¡Buenos dias! ¡¡Mi nombre es Senora Cristina !! ¿Como te llamas? ¿Cuál es vuestro apellido? In this flex style course, learners will learn the Spanish alphabet, numbers, colors, animals, and family vocabulary. Each learner will have an "All About Me" activity sheet to be used as a guide. They will learn how to say and spell their name in Spanish , as well as state how old they are, what their favorite color is and what their family looks like. This class will follow the same pattern every week. There will be a video introducing the topic and the main vocabulary for that week. Students will be asked to record a video of them using the vocabulary on their own. I will give private, video feedback for each of these assignments. My teaching style is to combine visual aids and hands on activities to attend to the different learning abilities of all those in the class. Although this is a "Flex" class, students are still required to participate. Learners will complete and submit assignments (video or written), play games in the OutSchool classroom (via Nearpod link-if more than 1 learner) and practice their Spanish with fellow classmates. I will reply to the student by video or chat with feedback on grammar and pronunciation for every video assignment submitted by the learner. Students are encouraged to create videos answering the question or simply typing the full sentence into the comments section. When each class ends, students will take a picture of their work and share with the class. There will also be a partnering or group activity every week, which might be a conversation, finishing a story -roundtable style, or playing a game to practice our vocabulary! Items will build from week to week and we will begin each class answering questions in Spanish from the week before. By the end of the course, learners will be speaking basic Spanish and able to share details about themselves in Spanish . Week 1: Greetings -Hello! What’s your name? -Good Bye- How are you?
