What helps me to breath? Why can I move my arms and legs? This class is a great introduction for children to learn how the body works and moves. We will discuss lungs, bones, muscles and more. I will use movement to help your child understand the different body part functions. They will get to make a book with different objects to emphasize how the body works. The lesson is great for visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. It does require materials and handouts. Please gather the items before class. If you do not have a certain item feel free to replace it with something similar. They can also just draw on the pages if needed. Thank-you

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Amy Kent. I have been teaching children for nearly my entire life. I love helping children grow to love learning about the world! I am excited to teach classes to young learners to get them ready for school. I enjoy working with children of all ages. I love to read and look forward to hosting a book club for young learners.
I graduated from Southern Utah University. I earned a double major in elementary education and special education. I have a minor in child development. I have over 20 years experience. My first job was teaching Kindergarten. I incorporated reading, math, and science into my lessons. Not only did they learn their ABC's, but they were introduced to a variety of topics including gravity and space! My next experience was organizing and teaching a neighborhood preschool. I have worked with the children K-12 as a substitute teacher and online. I also volunteered at the local elementary school to help students improve their reading skills. I teach ESL online and I have my TESOL certificate. I have taught children cooking, sewing, and craft classes in our local 4-H program. I enjoy working with all age groups. I just love teaching!
I live in a small town. I have a great husband and five wonderful children. I love teaching, reading, children, crafts and exploring. I like to hike, swim and see new places with my family. I look forward to teaching your child in the classroom.
