US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this class, students will learn what traits make a mammal a mammal and how they differ from other animal groups. We will explore how being an endotherm (warm-blooded animal) benefits mammals and why having bones is important! We will also discuss the many ways that having fur benefits mammals, along with how mammals feed their babies. We will wrap up our mammal lesson by discussing some species that “break the rules” of being a mammal and some of the world’s most unusual mammals! With lots of amazing photos and a clear, concise slideshow, your learners will be blown away by the amazing mammals of the animal kingdom. Students will be encouraged to answer prompt questions and work together to discover answers. This is a 40-minute class (30-minute presentation and 10 minutes for discussion and questions) geared towards students in grades K-3.
