Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
In this class, learners will get to learn about a different breed of horse or pony each week. We will discuss physical characteristics of each type of horse, and how the breed has been used historically. We will look at pictures and video clips and play games to practice identifying different horse and pony breeds. We will also learn about how that breed of horse has been influential in history and in literature, including a bit of social studies and language arts! Students will have opportunities to chat about the horses and ponies we study throughout class, and class will end with a review time to help learners retain new information. Students will also receive a handout to review during class and a Kahoot link will be provided in the classroom for students to complete after class is over.
