45 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this weekly drawing club, students will learn how to draw cats and poses in a variety of styles including realistic, semi-realistic, cartoon, anime and kawaii. Depending on the difficulty of the drawing, we may have time for more than one drawing per class. This class is best suited for both beginner and intermediate drawing levels. The style of this class is laid back, interactive, and engaging. I follow the pace and interests of the learners as we progress with our lesson. As this is an ongoing class and lessons do not build on each other, learners can drop in any week without having missed any material. Before we start with drawing at the beginning of each class, I will share an interesting cat fact, story or photo, and students will have a chance to share their favorite cat anecdotes or introduce their own cat to the class! This will take between 5-10 minutes at the start of each class. Then we will dive into our drawing of the day. All drawings will be demonstrated by me using a second camera, and students can follow along step-by-step. There is time for learners to ask questions and get feedback on their work throughout class, and an option to share drawings at the end of class. The purpose of this class is for students to share in their love of cats with peers while also improving their cat drawing skills! Upcoming Schedule: Week of Nov. 22- Draw a Ragdoll kitten Week of Nov. 29- Learn how to effectively capture cat poses such as jumping, running and swatting with quick gesture drawings Week of Dec. 6- Draw a cat sleeping Week of Dec. 13- Draw Marie from Disney's Aristocats I look forward to drawing with you!
