US Grade 6 - 8
Want to learn more about our feathered friends in the sky? Each week we will either learn all about a new bird species, a unique aspect of bird biology, or a relevant topic that affects birds and/or their habitats. Classes will be taught using a PowerPoint presentation, short video clips of birds in the wild, and discussion. Because this class meets in an ongoing format, each week's content stands on its own and does not require previous knowledge or attendance. **Spring 2023 Schedule** April 6th and 7th - Pigeons of the World April 13th and 14th - Eggs April 20th and 21st - Migratory Flyways April 27th and 28th - Cranes May 4th and 5th - NO CLASS May 11th and 12th - Pet Birds May 18th and 19th - Show and Tell (Last Class of the Semester)

Teacher expertise and credentials
Obsession is a pretty good description for my love of birds. My family and friends are used to me stopping a conversation mid-sentence, grabbing my camera, and rushing off to inspect an interesting bird if we are hanging out outside (or near a window). Birds are so cool because they are accessible to everyone! You can be living in an urban apartment, a suburban home, a house in the country or forest. Wherever humans are, birds are too. I love to inspire the next generation to look more closely at their feathered neighbors and more fully appreciate the wonderful word of birds.
