In this course, learners will learn how to solve equations. Learners will begin with solving one-step equations, followed by two-step equations and lastly multi-step equations.

Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9

This one-time session will focus on one of the foundation skills used in Pre-Algebra and Algebra.
The agenda for my class will be as followed:
-Introduce steps to solving equations. These steps are using cross any equation. Therefore, you can apply these steps to one-step equations as well as we build up to solving a multi-step equation.

I was a Special Education teacher for 9 years. During my time as a Special Education teacher, I supported students in 6th-12th grade math. Additionally, I taught Algebra I for 3 years.

Learner will benefit from a quiet, focus oriented working space. Notebook, pencil, highlighter, different colored pens or pencils are recommended. If parent or student would like, I can email notes, please feel free to reach out to me.

The learner will complete an "Exit Ticket" to assess mastery level of solving equations.

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
